Welcome to Windsor, where our
Aussies have been our lives for thirty years.
When Gary and I first met, I was living and working at a livestock saleyard. Gary was
working for a rodeo contractor, and hauling cattle. He also roped alot. I had
two dogs at the saleyard. Gidding's Blue Bandit, CD, CWD, and Gidding's Captain Kid.
Gary acquired his Aussie, Hawley's Boomerang, a full brother to Captain. All
three dogs were tough on stock, hitting both heads and heels. Boom and Captain
were both handsome dogs.
Blue was too, to me, but was a pattern white. Blue was
the first Aussie with a CD in Arizona, and the first and only Certified Working Dog.
It has always been important to us, to have well structured, appealing dogs,
that meet the ASCA standard that have not lost the natural instinct on stock,
especially on cattle. Seems like so few Aussies are natural heelers anymore.

Among the things we breed for, are solid hips, clear eyes, clean coat color,
and full dentition. Everyone should be breeding away from hereditary defects,
especially since they continue to escalate, and can be so devastating.
Temperament is also very important to us. No people or dog aggression. Our dogs
can all "run" together, without worrying about fights. Our dogs have always been
very intelligent and trainable. We feel that exercise is needed, to have a sound
dog, and for longevity. Our dogs are seldom "kenneled". They have tough feet
and great muscle tone! J
The best way to describe Payson, is 'God's Country'! We live at about 5400ft. The air is clear, and the weather year round is great. We do get some snow in the winter. We live under the Mogollon Rim, which tops out at around 8000ft. We have creeks, lakes, pines, cedars, wild flowers, to list a few, and every type of wildlife imaginable. Only about 3% of the land in our county, is privately owned.
We like ATVing, and head out over the hill, with all the dogs going along.
Quite a sight!
It's a wonderful place to have livestock for training. Only drawback is no pastures, so we have to feed alfalfa. We have a round pen, a big pen, and an arena. When we want to work outside the fences, we just head out our back gate, and are on National Forest...no fences! The dog really has to think!
We keep ducks, goats barbadoes, and try to keep a few calves. The things we all do for our dogs! Only "dog people" would understand!

| Mary & Gary with their granddaughter Nicole, call name "Cole"! |
Our dogs are all ASCA & AKC registered, and DNA certified. Dogs from our
breeding program compete successfully in all areas of ASCA competition.
We have linebred over the years, but never hesitated to introduce a dog
into our lines, as a compliment.
Our line of Aussies have more than lived
up to our expectations, and have accomplished everything we have ever asked of
them. You can see and read more about Windsor Aussies in the 1997 Aussie Annual.
Aussies deserve to be family members first, which ours are. Competition is
just "icing on the cake".
We enjoy our guys. They bring brightness to our days,
and we try to repay them for this, with love and care.
Yes, we are definately addicted! And, will always be! Thankfully! I can't
imagine a life without our Aussies!
Hope You enjoy our dogs as much as we do!
